What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Ecommerce

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

Social login

Social Login collects data when a visitor register, login or link the account with Google and Facebook. It collects the following data: email address, name, social provider identifier and access token. Social Login must create a cookie for visitors who use the social login authorization flow. This cookie required for every provider to secure the communication and to redirect the user back to the last location.

Analytics

We use google analytics to analyse our web site traffic. We do not share personally identifying information with google.

Who we share your data with

If you visit our web site, non-identifying information will be shared with google for the purposes of analysing web traffic.

We use Unleashed Software for inventory management and your order and delivery information wil be stored in their software. If you have any questions on Unleashed Software and GDPR, please email privacy@unleashedsoftware.com.

We use Xero for accounting, your order and delivery information will be stored in their software.

Your payments are currently processed using Banca Unipol.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

  • Xero for accounting purposes
  • Anonymised data is sent to google analytics for web traffic analysis.

What third parties we receive data from

If you use social login we receive your name, email address and identifier from Google or Facebook.

Who on our team has access

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

  • Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.

How we protect your data

We make sure all our computers and systems are kept up to date and use SSL encryption for the transport of data between systems, and are providing staff training in data protection

While we do our best to ensure your data is safe by keeping our systems and software up to date, if we notice a breach we will contact you via email to notify you.
